Antaviana VFX & Postproduction renews its collaboration with DocsBarcelona in an edition full of innovation and artistic commitment
Bernat Aragonès and Juan Gabriel García from Antaviana, will be part of DocsBarcelona Industry's artificial intelligence and editing tables.
Antaviana VFX & Postproduction will participate in the new edition of the International Documentary Film Festival of Barcelona, DocsBarcelona. The collaboration between Antaviana and the festival this year will go beyond the technical assistance and content management we provide in each edition, and will also manifest itself in our participation in key industry debates.
Bernat Aragonès, Editor and Post-Production Director of Antaviana VFX, will take part in a discussion on the intersection between artificial intelligence and film narrative with Anna Giralt Gris, Filmmaker and researcher; Frederic Guerreo – Solé, Professor of Communication Theories and co-director of +RAIN Film Fest; Piotr Winiewicz, Artist and filmmaker; and Pere Pérez, CEO of Metacampus. At a time when technology is redefining the limits of the possible, the panel titled “AI: Nobody Faces About The Truth” will explore the philosophical and sociological effects of AI, questioning its influence on the perception of reality.
Juan Gabriel García, editor of Antaviana VFX and member of Ammac, will speak to the renowned Chilean/Danish editor and director Stephan Wagner, who will offer a masterclass on editing and share his extensive experience with channels such as ARTE or the BBC, as well as 150 festivals.
Antaviana not only takes part in the critical dialogue during the festival, but also demonstrates its support through the sponsorship of key awards. The Docs&Pearls Jury Award in the Docs&Pearls competitive section and the Best Pitch Award for Public Pitch at DocsBarcelona are testaments to its ongoing support for innovation and excellence in documentary film. In addition, the winner of the Best Pitch award will receive €3,000 in post-production services from Antaviana, reaffirming the company’s tangible impact in supporting new talent.
DocsBarcelona Industry, which will take place from 6 to 10 May, continues to be an essential meeting point for professionals looking for funding or advice for their documentary projects. With the presence of more than 40 decision makers from 21 countries, the market offers an unrivalled platform for the presentation of projects and international networking.
In the words of Èric Motjer, DocsBarcelona’s Industry Director, “This year’s program is a window on the world we are and the world to come”. This spirit of looking to the future is precisely what Antaviana Films and DocsBarcelona celebrate and encourage with each edition of the festival.
Through their collaboration, Antaviana VFX and DocsBarcelona demonstrate yet again their commitment to documentary film and their ability to influence, inspire and educate audiences on a global scale.
