“La fugida” is a documentary by Josep Morell Feixas, Guillem Sánchez Marín, and Marc M. Sarrado, which portrays the impunity of the sexual crimes committed by two Jesuit priests. “La fugida” is a co-production of 3Cat with El Periódico and Ottokar.

At Antaviana VFX, we handled the post-production, including color correction, sound design and mixing, and mastering.

Synopsis:

La fugida delves into the stories of two cases of abuse by Jesuits in two renowned schools in Barcelona: the Jesuits of Sarrià and the Jesuits of Casp. Lluís Tó and Francesc Peris, alias “Xesco”, were priests and teachers at Jesuit schools who abused boys and girls for over thirty years. Both have one common element; they were both transferred to Bolivia by the Society of Jesus, where they continued their abuses with total freedom.

Now, their victims recount and revisit the aftermath of these abuses. A journey into the darkness of impunity that connects the cities of Barcelona and Cochabamba.
