Post-production and visual effects: The magic of audiovisuals at the Employment Fair
Post-production is an essential stage in the audiovisual process, capable of transforming creative ideas into impactful productions. At the Employment Fair, we had the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise about this fascinating process.
On October 23rd, we participated in the roundtable discussion titled “Post-production and Special Effects: The Magic of Audiovisuals”, organized by the Catalonia Audiovisual Cluster as part of the Employment Fair. Moderated by Eduard Gil Baquero, the session became a meeting point to reflect on the role of post-production in the creative audiovisual process.
Our professionals, Anna Aragonès, VFX Supervisor, and Cristina Garmón, Post-production Coordinator, shared their expertise and practical experience. Their intervention highlighted how post-production, through visual effects and graphic design, can turn any idea into an impactful reality.
Complementarity in VFX Teams
During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the complementarity of professional roles in the post-production process. Anna, specializing in composition and graphic design, leads the creative supervision of projects, while Cristina, in her role as coordinator, manages resources and ensures the efficiency of VFX teams. This close collaboration is crucial to delivering smooth, high-quality projects.
We also stressed the importance of having a comprehensive understanding of the audiovisual process, from technical aspects to creative ones. This holistic perspective not only improves communication between departments but also enhances the final outcomes.
Artificial Intelligence and Lifelong Learning
One of the highlights of the session was the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the audiovisual industry. As we shared, AI is a valuable tool for streamlining processes and automating tasks, but it still requires human oversight to ensure it accurately conveys the creative emotions and ideas that define a project.
We also encouraged young attendees to embrace continuous learning and adapt to new technologies. This open mindset is key to navigating a constantly evolving industry.
